2009 Central Hardin Marching Band
Early Week - June 22-26, 9:00AM - 4:30PM
Band Camp - July 20 - 24 and July 27 - 31
Both camps are mandatory for all students. During "Early Week" the focus is on learning the music for the 2009 show, building stronger musicianship through musical technique and focus, and strengthening the students physical conditioning through marching, dance, and body control techniques.
The traditional "Band Camp" at the end of July focuses on the memorization of the drill movements for the actual show and the coordination of the drill with the music.
Students are required to attend these camps, there is an execption made for Field Commanders who are attending the Field Commander Camp in June and for students who are accepted into the Governor's School for the Arts and the Governor's Scholar Program.
These dates are provided in December of the prior year in order to facilitate the scheduling of family vacations. Please make schedule your vacation times around the band camp dates.
